Danny Rampling

Danny Rampling is one of the most influential figures in the history of UK club culture, widely recognised as a pioneer of the acid house and rave movement. Born in London in 1961, Rampling began DJing in the early 1980s and became a key figure in bringing the Balearic sound from Ibiza to the UK. He founded the legendary Shoom club night in 1987, which became one of the defining events of the Second Summer of Love and helped establish the UK's underground dance scene. Known for his eclectic sets blending house, soul, funk, disco and Balearic influences, Rampling's style helped shape the sound of a generation. Beyond DJing, he has worked as a radio presenter, producer and music curator, remaining a respected ambassador for electronic music and the rave culture he helped create.
