Manchester Bounce returns for a one-off special, raising funds for The Meningitis Trust – an international charity focused on community support, education, awareness, and research.
Proceeds from the night will support:
24-hour helpline led by specially trained nurses
Network of community groups and volunteers
One-to-one contacts
Professional counselling services (UK & ROI)
Financial grants (UK only)
Home visiting service (UK only)
Why This Charity?
This event holds deep personal meaning for DJ Burg:
“The main reason I’m helping out is because this charity means a lot to me. Three generations of my mum’s side of the family have been affected by meningitis.
My nan’s uncle died from it at 14. Her sister passed away at just five years old. My nan survived it at 18 with no lasting effects.
The last in our family to suffer was my mum, who caught it at 11 weeks old. She survived, but was left profoundly deaf and with visual impairments.
It can be heartbreaking knowing she’ll never hear me DJ or listen to one of my CDs – things we all take for granted.
So this night is going to be one to remember. Please come along, show your support, and let’s have fun while raising money for a very worthy cause.
