Well what do you think, as i'm on the dawn of starting to learn the massive task of Logic, i have wondered what is better. Some say personal preference as there so close. What you think?

I know there's another "mixer recommendation" thread but I'm thinking of getting a new mixer too, and I have some specific requirements... 1. at least 3 channels (so I can do "proper" 3-deck mixing) 2. assignable x-fader (so I can, say, assign two channels to one side and one to the other) 3. usual EQ controls on each channel (bass, mid, high) 4. aux send/return 5. not too expensive! But not too crap either! Under £400/£500 would be good.

A few days ago I saw Boy George play at Es Paradis and I have to say I was pretty impressed! His mixing wasn't amazing but his style of music was interesting and different, really nice trancey/funky house, I really enjoyed it! Any of you lot heard his stuff? (seriously, lol) Highlight of the night: djTommy: 'Can I have my photo taken with you?' Boy George: 'Oooooo aren't you cute?'

  5. Started by LiquidEyes,

Usually the words "hard" and "trance" do not get me very excited. Although I do like trance, and I do like hard music, the prospect of going to a hard trance night generally conjures an image of nancy fluffy melodic nonsense over a mindlessly fast beat. At least, that's what I thought until I went to "Time Machine" at The Fridge in Brixton, last night. The music was superb - right across the spectrum of psytrance, hard techno and dark intense trance. And I had the pleasure of witnessing an outstanding live act: Nuw Idol. The prospect of "live" dance music doesn't usually get me excited either. Indeed, one of the earlier live acts was very much "hard trance …

Now being a bit [censored] with computers, I need to know which is the best software for burning CD's on my home computer, and trackmarking them. I need my new CD copied ASAP and I don't know anyone who is willing to do it, so I need the software that I can do it with, and need some advice. Thanks, Ali xx

I notice there are lots of reason users on here. I have been using it for about 6 months and although I wouldn't say I've mastered it - I have a pretty good understanding of the whole program now. I can honestly say that the only way to go is to read the manual. SOUnds boring but it's got to be done.

It was on this day 2nd July, 5 years ago that the late, great Tony De Vit passed away, god rest your soul Tony, you were and always will be a god among men! Tony de Vit has been my idol and inspiration since 1995. He had this special way of being able to make each individual clubber feel like he was playing the tracks especially for them, causing a chain reaction and turning the atmosphere into raw electricity. It was almost like you could see it, touch it! He was no pigeonhole DJ, breaking down boundaries between all types of dance music, fusing and mutating like some kind of power-crazed scientist. Taunting them and taking them one level further until they were lit…
