It was on this day 2nd July, 5 years ago that the late, great Tony De Vit passed away, god rest your soul Tony, you were and always will be a god among men! Tony de Vit has been my idol and inspiration since 1995. He had this special way of being able to make each individual clubber feel like he was playing the tracks especially for them, causing a chain reaction and turning the atmosphere into raw electricity. It was almost like you could see it, touch it! He was no pigeonhole DJ, breaking down boundaries between all types of dance music, fusing and mutating like some kind of power-crazed scientist. Taunting them and taking them one level further until they were lit…

* plump djs wanted to see em for a while now and they superb * chemical bros they played a techy set. not really sure what genre it would be, but it was creative and intelegent and no hard dance records in sight. probs my fav set of the wkd! * sander kleinenberg was midday, i'd had no drugs or drink and i still felt like i was rushing off the music. this choice in records were shockingly good! * fergie was wondering past the radio1 stage to hear techno banging out. started stomping away and heard some geeza on the yell out "fergie on radio 1" and i'm like - "fuk - i didnt know fergie could actually play good set!!". its always nice to be proven wrong by a d…

I would really like a short (30-45 mins) mix of some 'reasonably' well known funky disco-y house to play at my wedding reception, so that we are not dancing to steps all night. It has to be the kind of stuff that non funky people may recognise but will most certainly dance to in a drunken stupor! Could any of you help me out? I am more than willing to cover all costs.

I've got soundforge right, and i want to track a cd, is there a certain way of doing this without going thru the painstaking sequence of copying the range you want and pasting into new window, then saving the new window, and cutting out what you've just saved! Hope that makes sense!

looking through folks' offers of hard house cds and online mixes to download, i keep seeing the same tracks time and time again -- "Beyond Motion", "Floorburn", "Beautiful", "Hostile", anything by TDV, Signum, those Sharkboy bootlegs... does nobody actually get bored of hearing the same hh tunes on mixes time and time again, even though they're months (or possibly years) old? or am i completely alone in thinking that when a dj does a mix cd it should be at least just a little bit inventive and original? looking from tracklistings, many of the hard house djs (note: not all) on this board who've offered mixes just seem to rely on the same old tunes as crowd-please…

Are you a hardcore/old skool/hard house/hard trance DJ? If so then read on… We have recently launched a site (www.clubithard.com), which will shortly be running a weekly ‘net radio show dedicated to hard dance. If you want your mixes aired then get in touch – Our site is running at approximately 35,000 hits a month right now, so this is a massive opportunity for you! All we ask is that you can guarantee to send one mix of roughly an hour (on CD) each month. In return you will get it aired on our radio show, also, you will get a mix uploaded onto the site for people to hear, and a full profile of yourself, with contact details etc. There will be other benefits to…

I( posted the original version of this tune up a fairly long while ago, on both here tidy forums and on generoproject.com. It got a farily good response but the main criticism was the repetetiveness of the main lead, this re-working i feel has sorted that. It would be great if i could get a bit of feedback on this tune. Thanks in advance to anyone who has the time to check it out. The links are below For those of you on 56K connections lo-fi stream Broadband connections hi-fi stream or the site it's hosted on download here cheers again if anyone can give me any feedback

Just to start a debate. Compared to Vestax, they are just not good enough. It was a great design 25 years ago when released, but they need to update it as they will get phased out in the next couple of years by competitors - i.e. Vestax, Stanton, Numark. Just look at MOS London, they got stanton, and home did have vestax. Any comments? I have used both and love my PDX-2000's.
