  4. The mixes coming from this man lately are fantastic and getting better and better. He was even good enough to give me his ONE OFF latest mix on tape after I heard it thumping out after Global Gathering. WTF are we doing ? Mod1 should be playing Trance in back rooms ASAP. We need a CTW Trance Promotor who can get this dude some sets ASAP! Please show your support for our very own Mod1 on this post, one day i'm sure we'll get to play some Trance DJs and Mod1 is at the TOP of my list. Nice1 Ian.

Hello all! I have two new mixes online in the trance/techno/breaks flavor. To all the house heads, I will have 2 new house mixes up soon as well. Feel free to check them out if you are interested, but you will need Windows Media Player: Techy - Techno, Tech-Trance, and Breaks ------------------------------------------------------------------- Play - Download | Playlist Added as of 2003-07-12 A new mix for new times.I tried to stay away from the more epic or flowy trance flavors and keep it more underground. Basic way to describe it - some of it's old, some of it's new, none of it was borrowed, but I threw in LaTour's "Blue". This mix was name…

Since i dont know how much i'll use it i dont want to spend a huge amount so have been looking @ a pioneer cdj 100. Id appreciate any comments anyone has as to whether its worthwhile for a 1st buy or what the alternatives are.

  10. OMG I have never witnessed such an intense set! His build ups and breakdowns to his tunes were so immense it was like being back at GC NEC watching PvD tease the crowd. As dirty as you like! Halliwel was god on Saturday. Iv never really thought much of the guy, and regardless of his [censored] ups on Saturday, he still was the only DJ that shone thru Saturday night IMO. I will most deffo be making the effort to see him in the future.

Hi peeps, my mixer is knackered, and as it is only a Vestax PCV 003, I was wondering if it was worth getting it fixed, or saving up for a new one. What would people recommend in the £300-400 range, as I'd really like to hear some opinions, cos I don't believe I'm the most knowledgeable in this area!!! Thanks peeps!!

  21. Started by LiquidEyes,

I know there's another "mixer recommendation" thread but I'm thinking of getting a new mixer too, and I have some specific requirements... 1. at least 3 channels (so I can do "proper" 3-deck mixing) 2. assignable x-fader (so I can, say, assign two channels to one side and one to the other) 3. usual EQ controls on each channel (bass, mid, high) 4. aux send/return 5. not too expensive! But not too crap either! Under £400/£500 would be good.

A few days ago I saw Boy George play at Es Paradis and I have to say I was pretty impressed! His mixing wasn't amazing but his style of music was interesting and different, really nice trancey/funky house, I really enjoyed it! Any of you lot heard his stuff? (seriously, lol) Highlight of the night: djTommy: 'Can I have my photo taken with you?' Boy George: 'Oooooo aren't you cute?'

  23. Started by LiquidEyes,

Usually the words "hard" and "trance" do not get me very excited. Although I do like trance, and I do like hard music, the prospect of going to a hard trance night generally conjures an image of nancy fluffy melodic nonsense over a mindlessly fast beat. At least, that's what I thought until I went to "Time Machine" at The Fridge in Brixton, last night. The music was superb - right across the spectrum of psytrance, hard techno and dark intense trance. And I had the pleasure of witnessing an outstanding live act: Nuw Idol. The prospect of "live" dance music doesn't usually get me excited either. Indeed, one of the earlier live acts was very much "hard trance …
