There are probably two key factors behind the regular improvement in results: 1) There is a bigger coursework element involved in exams these days. Coursework stretches pupils in different ways to the old, cram a full two year's study into two exams method, but it is, inevitably easier not to cock up. 2) There is a larger base of past papers to work through and teachers are better placed to second guess likely exam questions. There is a finite number of questions that can be asked on any subject and pupils are being better prepared for the variety of topics that might be thrown up. OK, so it is Sat night and I am sitting in ith a couple of beers and listening to Marilyn Manson & Nine Inch Nails, WTF? hello i don't want to bore you all to tears with tales of the desert but some of you may be interested in what happened in black rock city last week. a picture is worth 1000 words... some of my friends have started to post pictures and there are links here: http://www.magicglasses.com/pictures/index.html under the heading "magicglasses camp 2002" i think this picture sums up much of the week for me: http://www.giraffelegs.com/BM2002/burn/pages/burning.htm there is so much to say and sometimes it's hard to put it in words. sometimes it's nice not to. namaste alasdair

ermm is it just me or is anyone else having trouble puttin a pic in their profile i mean wot is 500 x 500 pixels it used to [censored] on a url ... nope not going to uni to learn how to upload a pic !

I used to live in Brighton and London, so was spoilt for choice, and it never took me more than 30mins and a couple of quid on public transport to get anywhere. Now I live in the sticks, it is a 35mile drive to the nearest decent club, or a 3 hour coach journey to all my fave haunts in London. I used to think people were mad coming from 40-50 miles just to go clubbing, now I do it every other week. What about everyone else? PS WTF is it ith the poll now, I wanted to do a poll, but it looked way too complicated. Anyone want to do one for me?
