How the hell do you work out the bpm of a song manually without a beatcounter or any of that stuff?

I've just got an email from work DEMANDING that I take more holiday as I keep losing days when the new year kicks in (only allowed to carry over 5). Me being thick I was 'saving' my holiday for skiing next year - but of course it gets refreshed in the new year so what the hell was I thinking. So I've been told I HAVE to book 14 days more THIS year (2002) - additionally to Ibiza and a couple of other short breaks - so the question is... Do I extend my stay in Ibiza another week - or do I find a nice young lady and take her to the Maldives ??! hehehe What a pisser eh!?
