Hello CTW people, I'm currently in Tanzania on the first stop of my tour. This place is absolutely crazy. Some dude nearly got shot about 30 feet from me and that was right outside the UN building! People here are generally very friendly. Malria is pretty huge over here and those anti-malaria tablets make me see some strange things just before I go to bed. Oh yeah, it was great to finally meet a lot of you at Wildchild. I will write you another post when I get to either Malawi or Zimbabwe! Cheers, Alex V

Hello peeps, Whilst I was living in South Africa for a while I got to know the local popular music scene over there and to my amazement, South Africans have got some twisted genres of harder dance music. Outdoor Trance (or Psi-Trance as we would call it) is simply known as Trance over there. However, they call our Trance, House-Trance, simply because its softer than what they're used to. I had many an argument with many a Saffa over this issue but you'll be gald to know that Hard House is still Hard House over there. Mind you, I have some crazy pictures of the outdoor Psi-Trance raves I went to. Slightly more twisted and strange for my liking. Alex V

Drug sniffer dog dies of overdose Mon 2 August, 2004 10:54 LONDON (Reuters) - A police sniffer dog has died of a suspected overdose while out hunting for drugs, police say. Todd, a 7-year-old Springer spaniel, had been looking for drugs in a field and car in Preston when his handler noticed he was looking unwell. He was taken to a vet and then rushed to an animal intensive care unit at Liverpool University, displaying symptoms of ingesting amphetamines, a Lancashire police spokeswoman said. He died shortly afterwards. The death was said to have devastated Todd's handler, Police Constable Roger Moore, his wife and two young children. …
