i decided to take my younger brother who is 11, out for dinner on Saturday as a treat. when we arrived at the buffet restaurant, i was told the price of his meal would be the same as an adult's because children are under eight years old. this got me thinking; at what age does a child become an adult? well, at the cinema it's 15. however, the law states you are responsible enough to have a sexual relationship at 16, drive a car at 17 and drink alcohol at 18.. the most celebrated of birthdays are 18 and 21 for the change to adulthood but surely you cannot become an adult if you already are one?
