Maybe I'm a little old-fashioned, but sometimes it gets to me when people fail to show basic manners ... not least of which when I'm a paying customer. Generally it takes nil effort to be polite and courteous so I think there's no excuse for making somebody else's day that bit shitter just because you think you're above being good-mannered. A few recent examples: Shopkeepers who fail to acknowledge your presence - e.g. some cow today who didn't even look at me, and scanned all my items while continuing her conversation with the mate.
