im feeling really tired and run down at the moment, and a colleague has recommended takin pro plus! any one ever used it?

Right, im at my g/f's house and she has a bog standard PC with the usual shitty soundcard that comes with it. But my problem is this: She has a couple of DVDs i want to take samples out of, so i want to record little snippets from the audio of the DVD. How do i go about this? Is it possible at all? She doesnt have any music software really, so am a bit stuck. Oh by the way, i will be playin the DVD in the PC drive not from an external DVD player.
