CTW News, Comments & Suggestions

I tried to get this done yesterday but had forgotten a few things and realised its not a 5 minute job!! I will hopefully get this done this week. I've got a wicked deal whereby I can have GIGs worth of space (instead of MBs worth) and also no more data transfer costs. Unfortunately still having problems with this baby - I think its going to be better & faster than the one we have now and you also wont have to login again or have a seperate account. I'll try and get this done but its not a priority as I'm moving the site this week. cheers, James

Just a quick one to say whilst quein up for a club last night, met a lot of quality, like minded people, (ranging from brits to aussies !) and issued a few cards, so hopefully they've signed up . Club didnt let us in (looked bollox anyway) but we were pissed and needed summit to do . Had to be 20+ to get in and were strong on I.D . Why do places turn away open business, its not exactly illegal is it Dont Drink In Windsor

Again, I'm getting my topics deleted on other sites. This, to me, is NOT on - I'm trying to state when we are out in Ibiza so if anyone want to meet up they can. I guess its because these other sites are reliant on advertising and have contracts & rules. I'm WELL CHUFFED because I'm telling you all now - I will NOT get to this stage, and if I do have to go the advert route for paying for hosting I certinalty wont restrict any promotion. I learnt his off the excellent BoogieTown site - clued up people - who have a 'promote yourself' section - which is why I set one up. James / (because we're ahead already...)

I'm afraid we are suffering from disk space problems - this could be down to Avatar usage but dont worry I'm not going to remove this feature. I have just spotted that there is an issue with my Disk Quota - the Easily.co.uk (my hosting company) "Control Panel" states I have 130.6 MB of available disk space left. I appear to only have about 3mb left and as such keep having software & ftp uploads fail! I am sadly having to delete older photos but they are from last year and to be honest not of the 'real members' - i.e. US so not really an issue. What is an issue is space which is why I'm hopefully moving to my new hosts this weekend! Apologie…

I've noticed some funny things going on with posts - I just posted a message and it took me back to the fecking WRONG topic?! Also I noticed the wrong name on the left hand side & wrong signatures - e.g. a mixture of Kev & Tara in one post?!!!!! If anyone experiences anything like this let me know so I can kick Infopop's ass!! This is pretty important as we dont want corrupted posts. James

As I am now back to my former, happy within my, self again I thought I'd better revisit my response to Alasdair's question... ClubTheWorld.uk came via hearing a friend at work talking about his newly aquired domain 'FunkTheWorld.com' - I quite liked it and it had a certain 'ring' about it. I also thought that it would be rememberable. I ALWAYS go for a ".com" as this is pretty much the default that users will enter and again, easier to remember as there's nothing to remember (if you know what I mean). ".com" is more global in my opinion as its basilly "commercial" although strictly should just be for US companies. The UK ones should be ".co.uk" but I HATE thi…

Remember - some sites who claim 20k hits per month are not quoting deduped down IPs per day. We are doing pretty well. Kev and I always said this would "SnowBall". I HONESTLY thought I'd only meet another 5 like-minders out there - there are LOADS of you !!!! James
