Now i have got a new camera i have got loads of pics to upload from last week at Sundissential HQ - have you got an FTP area i can upload them to?

I know i do not go on this board as much as I should, but it is hard to find time when i have been working and had no PC at home for months!! anyway a lot has been said about the fact that i have never done anything for this board, well! Its well under size, and when I select it, the proper path appears, click on continue, and it just disappears! Why?

Why cant I put pictures from the gallery into posts anymore? I have to post up a link instead. I dont know if anyone else has this problem or if its just me. There are a few pictures I wanna copy to my pooter aswell but cant and its bloody annoying. James, have you made the pictures non-copyable?

Why cant I upload a new avatar? All I keep seeing is a message saying something like "permission denied" or something to that effect.

I think there is a problem with many people logging in. Most people log in direct to the forums but some come on the site via the front page - as they should anyway - but that route seems to be down. Not sure why.

I cant see the flash news headliners - have you deactivated it ?

James, would it be possible to set the messaging facility so that we can send PM's to a large group of people, that way when we're trying to organise group meets etc, we can PM a whole group rather than individuals

I am trying to upload a picture of 80 by 80 pixels and no matter on how much I decrease the quality of it, I cannot for the life of me get it down to 5000 bytes. I am saving as .jpeg .gif and .png and nothing is getting small enough. I m lowering the quality of the pics to the lowest and still not getting close to it and also the picture is too blurred to see it. Any tips?

We're still trying to work out the best format for the homepage. We want to make it clearer to members and potential members exactly what the planned trips are. We dont intend on adding every single event where members are attending - this is really just to list the main events/festivals and more importantly the CTW organised trips. Whilst I was waiting around for the solution to getting the forums fixed I did actually managed to finally get the Favourites Mod installed into the Photo Gallery. You can now toggle photos as your favourites and then view your favourites, email your favourites, and once I've fixed it you will also be able to download a .zip archive of your favourites Please note there appears to be a limit of 67 photos per favourite album you save.

Ok - this is a bit strange - im forever filling this in, because, for some reason, they dissapear. When I re-fill in the field, and save the changes, I have a look at my profile, and all seems fine. Just checked it, and what I put there before, most are missing. Whats the score?

is it really too much to ask people to not post flippant comments in the serious forums? it seems it is... there are countless other forums which people can use if they want to have a laugh or work on their career as a clown - what do you gain by posting funny (or more than often not that funny...) crap when people are discussing serious issues? it devalues your contribution notably and it trivialises what are, for some people, important discussions. think before posting? alasdair (not the killjoy you all think i am)

All, We're going to try and get the site switched over to the new server tonight and so the site could be unavailable for an hour or so depending on how smooth the final changeover goes. What you will probably see is a password-protected site for a short while, whilst I get all the latest forum data moved across. Please bare with me ! Hopefully we wont be changing servers again for a while ! Iis anyone else experiencing login problems?? When I come onto the site I have to login despite logging in and clicking the 'remember me' box??!! Is anyone else having this problem? Admin, is there a cookie problem on the site with the migration etc??

Well I've just spent most of the weekend preparing & migrating the existing site to our new server/hosts (Bukey) and everything has gone extremely smoothly (bit worrying really lol). So we should be switching to the new box sometime this week and the old box/old hosts go a week monday. Already its clear that this new setup is far better for us and this is all down to Bukey. I havent had one issue since moving onto his box and this fills me with confidence that we're going to have a much better service than we have with all the old hosts put together!
