horrorist - 1 night in NYC this is a dark tune. very minimal techno with little more than a kick, vocals about drugs and underage sex and a riff (i think thats that name for it) that sounds like it should have been used in the exorcist. this is and will always remain one of my favourite tunes to play with no intention of trying to a set to fit it in in my opinion, a classic (this thread was inspired by clare dc posting that dire tune about drugs in hackney)

Hey guys I was just listening to an old tune and was wondering if anybody remembers it? Older clubbers used to tell me that this tune was a root of modern dance music. I still like my old stuff.

Has anyone heard of this guy or his music??? Man if you haven't then i suggest you do!! WOW is all I can say, it's indescribeble(sp!). Erm very digital sounding I guess, awesome specially whilst chilling with a spliff!!

I heard this tune at Magna on NYE and i think it was the first set of the night. Scott Majestik, and the breakdown had male vocal in it, and he was slagging his way through the radio 1 dj's. All i remember of the lyrics are something about dave pearce drivetime being the best dj show. and fergie refuses to go above 145bpm, and then about John Peel. It kept saying 'John Peel is NOT the man' Its a fuckin awesome track, and i want it, if anyone can help!

Ride Like The Wind (Christopher Cross version) What a tune - been after this version for years since I heard it in a pub. Used to dance to the East Side Beat version about 10 years ago when I used to club in St. Albans ! Happy Days !

Didn't think I was gonna like this when I bought it, but I think it may be even better than the Marco V one from 2002 ! Track 7 onwards would have me dancing my tits off in a club. omg how good is this label!?! its basically techno for the impatient. non of this 125bpm funky grooves. not really the most popular style of techno, and thats saying something considering techno isnt really that popular either. but this label (for me) sums up all that is great about the style of techno i've only heard at squat parties/illigal raves
