OK...enough of the serious dark underground. Time to lighten things up: It's Traaaaance-tastic! - Trance/Tech-Trance -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Play - Download Added as of 2003-11-20 The first 45 minutes of this mix I used as a demo for Global Adrenaline's Stardust 4 DJ Competition. The rest are more new goodies I've been accumulating as well as a few classics friends have requested on the next trance mix I made. I personally like this mix. It's energetic, fun, yet not cheesey in my book. Listen for yourself and decide. PLAYLIST 1) Rush - Aalto - Vandit 2) Solarcoaster - Solar Stone - L…

Since wanting to become a DJ, I like to get an honest opinion of various tunes that I think are sweet (see the last JFK post). Just wanted to ask what people thought of Binary Finary's epic 1998/1999 (any mix)? Try and give it a mark out of 10 (and please be honest, even if you're not a fan of the tune). Cheers people, you're all wicked. The great DJ ALEX V

Just checking to see if anybody remembered a tune by JFK called "Good God"? Was just listening to it and thought it was quite rude, especially the build up. Any comments on this tune? The Great DJ ALEX V

Sorry but these genre names are getting stupid now... I hereby declare that the use of any genre names like Speedcore, Hardstyle or Freestyle is just cliquey. Cos no fucker knows what they mean! When I were a lad there was just House, Trance, Techno, and Hardcore...

i cant seem to find much out there at the moment. i'm hoping its just me looking in the wrong places as i would be suprised if the scene has just died. the stuff i'm after is proper dirty filthy (preferbly techy but not specifically) nu nrg. non of this trancy nu nrg [censored] (some stuff is good but it get all too tedious too quickly) i'm after the more creative stuff that glazby and karim oftern produce or the twisted filtered dirt that casper does. *looks towards jon_m* i'm hoping you can fix my craving

Name your classic tunage of all time ... 1990 - 1995 ONLY. Mine has to be "Dont You Want Me" by Felix (not da housecat cunt, the Essex 'Loft' Boy.) Although I am unimpressed by the countless amounts of [censored] remixes that followed.

not heard this properly yet, but from the sample over hte net it sounds like a fukin monster of a tune an acid techno trip into the minds of the harddance clubbers

Awesome tune with an interesting speech mid-track.... goes a bit like this: "John Peel isnt enough.... In the early 90s, pete tong played hardcore when it was the right speed, Seb plays house, Lottie plays house, Judge plays housey-trance. Fergie wont even venture past 145bpm, so who will support hard dance?" "Suprisingly, the most adventurous is 'drivetime' dave pearce playing old skool and hard trance on a sunday night, and beyond adventurous is John Peel.....the ONLY hope of a kick drum led track above 150bpm.....JOHN PEEL IS NOT ENOUGH" *kicks into crazy hoover riff* will be interesting to see if John Peel will play it

I can feel this going epic but there you are. Given the current and rapid decline in the popularity and success of hard house, what do you mob think is going to be next big thing? It strikes me that hard house appears to have seperated into, on one side, a very bad kind of hard trance, and on the other, a slighty dull variant of not particularly hard techno. In the main anyway- im fully aware that there are still a number of tracks coming out that arent fitting either of those descriptions, but the majority are. Hard house, in my eyes anyway, has very little innovation any more, and I really cant remember a new track coming out that really got me hoing sinc…
