theres a lot of it in here at the mo and i wanted to try and calm it down... or bring it to a thread where it can be discussed without hijacking threads.... this was my reply to another post... youll prolly see it... but it took me so long to write and i didnt actually want to aim it at a particular person, so ive made it its own post... please reply in this one... when i first got into dance music Sven Vath was my top man.. at the time he was playing the early EYE-Q trance stuff (original cafe del mar/brainchild/cygnus x). i used to go to the orbit which was THE FIRST uk trance mecca... after seeing James Holden on saturday, he confirmed in my mind that there still is such a thing as "good" trance out there -- you don't need to resort to going to see DJs play mid/late-90s classics sets to hear some really good tunes. just downloaded the Way Out West self-titled and "Intensify" albums, have to say they're pretty amazing. and my mate only just told me that Nick Warren (who I'm seeing this Saturday) is half of Way Out West. DUHHHH. highly recommended anyway if anyone wants to check them out.

After reading the thread regarding www.tonydevit.co.uk I think it's a great website. Tony is a legend. Superb DJ and amazing producer. He was a huge influence on Hard House producers and DJs of today, and if you ask me, keep the re-releases on TDV coming! 'Are you Ready' is my favourite, superb tune. Keep it all coming!!! =Tomo=

I would just like to express my joy...all djs and people who receive free promos of everything, please refrain from pissing on my parade...all 'normal' people, please feel free to feel jealous I was ecstatic enough yesterday to buy a copy of Nothing but you by PVD...it's been on my cdplayer non-stop pretty much ever since Imagine just how much more pleased I was today when I discovered it won't be released until June 30th...very confused I looked at the box and found out it's a promo copy! My naughty little record shop! But then who am I to complain if it means I can get my hands on tunes two weeks before everyone else Scuse me, just off to listen to…

As some of you know im not the biggest fan of HH producers and im not really up to date with the scene anymore, so excuse me for not noticing this tune b4. OGR - Daydreamer I havent been into anything by Maddox but have to say when i heard this track for the 1st time today i was well impressed. A definate step in the right direction i think. Brilliant use of an eiree vocal, and some nice percussion. Not exactly bangin but does all the right things in my book. Guyver mix however did not impress in the slightest Just thought i'd share that with you

I've had this for a while now, but at first it didn't grab me...but I've been listening to it this afternoon at full blast and it actually grew on me One thing though, I do expect some harder stuff from Guy (well, under that alias anyway) so maybe it would've been betetr under another alias...Btu still, a very decent track, and Ican see this going down well on dancefloors.

  26. It's right up there with Essential Mix 1 (Tong/Oakey) and MoS Annual 2, Sasha and Digweed Northern Exposure and Cream Live. The tune selection is awesome, managing to stay the funkier side of things, but it really pounds away, heavy and dubby for a "prog" CD, and some of the tracks are just incredible... esp the opener on CD1, Francois K's remix of "Diamond Life" by Lil' Louie Vega. Amazing If you've not heard of Deep Dish then don't bother reading this. I seriously challenge anyone to listen to this CD and not at least acknowledge the production and mixing

Admittedly, these ain't to everyone's taste, due to the rip-off element, samey baseline and all round cheesyness, but some have these have been quality! I've just heard 21 and it's got "I Need Your Lovin" on one side, and a bootleg of "Insomnia" with the vocals of Adina Howard's "Freak" over it, and in my opinion is pukka if you don't take it serious!
