It's right up there with Essential Mix 1 (Tong/Oakey) and MoS Annual 2, Sasha and Digweed Northern Exposure and Cream Live. The tune selection is awesome, managing to stay the funkier side of things, but it really pounds away, heavy and dubby for a "prog" CD, and some of the tracks are just incredible... esp the opener on CD1, Francois K's remix of "Diamond Life" by Lil' Louie Vega. Amazing If you've not heard of Deep Dish then don't bother reading this. I seriously challenge anyone to listen to this CD and not at least acknowledge the production and mixing

Admittedly, these ain't to everyone's taste, due to the rip-off element, samey baseline and all round cheesyness, but some have these have been quality! I've just heard 21 and it's got "I Need Your Lovin" on one side, and a bootleg of "Insomnia" with the vocals of Adina Howard's "Freak" over it, and in my opinion is pukka if you don't take it serious!

Hello everybody, just one point I would like to bring up as a new mod in this forum: Can we all please be a bit more constructive and respectful when debating on music. OK, so Hard House/ Trance/ Drum n Bass/ Whatever might not be your cup of tea, but that does not make it '[censored]' - this is just someone's opinion, and so if you are going to criticise someone's opinions/ taste, can we make it more constructive? Theres a tune - old or new - on MTV Dance last night, the title was 'camels' but cant remember who made it, anyone got any ideas, it had a video of American cars in it crashing all over the show from old TV series and films by the looks of it.

how fantastic r the cover cd's lately?!? cant really comment on them in the past as i prefer internation DJ over DJ mag, but recently i've been buying both and all i can say is the umek cd is superb, but then then name speeks 4 itself the breakbeat cd i'm completely hooked on!!!! and then theres the prog cd, easily the worst out of the 3, but still its a bloody good cd imo

those of u who like both... wats ure fav of each. just interested to see if a correllation matches mine. i mean - i like Full Metal (RR fierce) as a super hard tune and The Legacy (Push) as a chill out tune, and 1 is hard as fook and 1 is really chilling. just curios if every1 is like this, or if people like harder trancy tunes to match their hardhouse affinity.
