"Absorbency Plus Frivolity, A Blend the World Needs"

"In the wake of the recent election, there's been some talk of healing, but until today no single figure has emerged with the capacity to repair the deep fissures in the body politic.

We are so hung up on blue states and red states that our only hope may lie in the primary colour that has been left off the map. We need something - or someone - yellow, and also absorbent and pourous enough to soak up the ill will and scrub away the lingering bad feelings.

wtf.gif

Now more than ever, the country needs.................SpongeBob SquarePants no.gif

and starting today, in theatres everywhere, he answers the call, with big screen rendition of the nautical nonsense that has been delighting Nickelodeon viewers - including a great many grown-ups eek.gif without the alibi of children - for the past five years.

If SpongeBob's nautical nonsense, the brainchild of Stephen Hillenburg, is generally not something you wish, then you may find the 88 minutes of "SpongeBob SquarePants the Movie" unbearable in their aggressive, puerile whimsy yes.gif

True aficionados, on the other hand, will leave wanting more"

Taken from the FRONTPAGE of the New York Times

wtf.gif Is it just me or has the world gone completely f*cking crazy?

I mean honestly, SpongeBob SquarePants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whatever next????

On another note, kids tv is shit nowadays. I'm sure a lot of us will remember good old kids tv from the early eighties?

80's kids TV was BRILLIANT.....none more so than THe Muppet Show.

I'm considering buying the complete Chorlton and the Wheelies on DVD soon.

I was rather partial to a daily dose of Pigeon Street.

Jamie and the Magic torch was good aswell.

Saying that, Spongebob is relatively OK but for modern day kids TV I prefer Fairly Odd Parents...especially on shrooms thumbsup.gif

Did anyone ever complete Knightmare?

  • CTW Members

Yeah, I saw a team complete it a few months ago on Challenge TV.

All they got was a scroll to say they'd finished and a little trophy. Not really worth it IMO.

i applied for knightmare when i was younger with three mates, we got a letter of acceptance, thought we were the absolute boys, then a few weeks later got a ltter sayin they were not makin anymore after that series. summer of 1994 that was.
