More than that - I reckon about 4-5 years, although some parts I doubt they will even bother rebuilding

It'll take as long as it takes... long after the land is reclaimed peoples lives will still need rebuilding. It may take generations to rebuild.

yea i would have said 5-10 years...the world trade centres took 2 or 3 years to clear up and that was only local buildings....

 

world war 2 destroyed widespread cities and 11-million odd people, that took about 20 years until life started getting back to normal...
