Maria, only problem with that is - it may be considered as "flyering" and I know alot of events are very strict on this (no matter what it is for)

 

Handing out small cards to people we getting chatting to is alot different to handing out loads of leaflets

ah right - I wsn't aware of that.

yeah just to make it clear i am firmly AGAINST blatent flyering to people we dont know - if we speak to new people and make potential new friends then yes - give them a card - no point in just handing out stuff to people who may not be interested at all in the site / the concept

ps. Mark - its people like you and Ginge who make the effort to come to these events and meet up when the site is very small in numbers/attendance which drives this whole thing and leads on from one thing to another - a whole bunch of you on here should be bloody proud of yourselves for being THE main reason these meets work !

I think the site is really coming round now..and its also looking good..

have to say that although the member base is small, its been pleasing to see relatively more people on line over the last few days than the couple of months leading up to xmas. The member posts have been much much better and there is a real air of optimism i feel... I think 2005 is going to be a cracking year and for me, Dance Valley will be the absolute highlight that will bring back those much maligned "good old days"..

 

Everyone needs to work together to keep it going..

i too have my drive back now as well following the better atmosphere round here - dont worry we wont be letting it get back to how it was with all the bitching and moaning - if people have problems they wont even get to the point of being able to post about it

 

its great to know that there are people out there like us who really DO want to do these things, together, and who cares whether its 4 or 40 of us - the meets can only get better now

tbh, when i came back on ctw after a wee while away, i was so glad to see the core members still her - the people that drive the site on. Not just the ppl actually involved but the valued members who come to the meets and take part in what this site is all about.

 

I am 100% confident we will take this site so much further this year
