Not sure how I am to do this ?

I have a 3-disc changer, and when I play CD's, only 'some' of them skip / jump on certain tracks. It's not the CD that is damaged / scratched, because they play perfectly will in other CD devices. I don't want to take it to the shop because it will probably cost a fortune and will be held back for months.

Any ideas how I can do this myself without taking the thing apart ? It's p^ssing me off because I can't listen to my fav tune without it jumping back to the previous bloody track. Fumming.

Cheers.

OF COURSE ! doh - pointless post - how the feck did this totaly not come into mind. :$

Using that thing known as a duster helps keep dust down flowers.gif

Well how can you dust inside the trays ? You can't. I often blow inside it to blow any excess dust - but then I don't think you are meant to do that. I will get the CD cleaner . . . thumbs.gif

I'll never do that then cos I'v never cleaned inside mine in about 10 years or so

put a small dish of water in the tray.

it'll clean the laser nicely and remove any fluff and dirt built up

never put water in electrical products

water should be fine on anything electrical. doesn't conduct electricity.

they use water to clean bits of pylons, you know.
