February 22, 200421 yr CTW Members was talking about this with a mate yesterday.... this is what he told me a mcd's beefburger is made up of the sh*tty fatty bits of the cow. left overs. the scrappy bits that are clinging onto the bone after you remove the 'real' bits. (so it IS '100% beef', but it's 100% crap beef. ppl like fat though. that's why when you come out of a pub you want a kebab. fat containts salt. alchohol drains the body of salt. thats why ppl like the taste of fat, cos it replenishes their salt. which is why ppl like the taste of mcdonalds beef b burgers. February 23, 200421 yr CTW Members McDonalds use a lower grade of meat in their burgers than in cat food. Cat food is grade E whereas MaccyD's is Grade F! My teenage daughter has been kidnapped, and the people I work with may be involved in both. I'm Federal Agent Jack Bauer and this is the longest day of my life...
February 23, 200421 yr am i the only one who doesn't really care then? as long a it don't poison me and it tastes alright and you're only paying less than a quid from MacDonalds
February 23, 200421 yr QUOTE (FredTheBaddie @ Feb 23 2004, 13:37) QUOTE (Phil rr @ Feb 22 2004, 15:17) fat containts salt No it doesn't. indeed. it is all the salt form the kebab that contains the salt, not the fat. people generally like the taste of food they've been raised on, although there is a tendancy to prefer fatty foods as we've evolved generally being short of calories rather than being able to eat ourselves to death.
February 23, 200421 yr CTW Members while the ingredient list suggests otherwise, some people have accused mcdonalds of bulking out their burgers with soy protein. you may be eating more of a vegeburger than you realise alasdair "I've got medication, honey. February 23, 200421 yr CTW Members Unlike the USA where the food laws allow mcdonalds to take a great deal more liberty with the food...read Fast Food Nation if you want the real story, you'll never eat a burger in the usa again!!! In the UK if it say's 100% beef then that is what it is. Also in the UK macdonlds say that their meat is taken from primary cuts of beef, which are forerib, and flank, then that is what they do. We hav good hygine laws which are rigouously enforced by environemntal health, and Macdonalds would not f**k that up, as they might well be closed down. In terms of hygine a macdonalds is liable to be far more regulated & hyginic and with better staff training and hygine procedures, than your avearge cafe. And much much more than your local supermarket deli counter. Mcdonalds are incredibly litigious and are prone to sue for libel as soon as look as you, so I would be careful what i put into print, unles you know it's true, even on a clubbing website. Else James is liable to end up in the big house. nb lou Chuck Steak is a particular cut of beef, which we I think know as flank, but i could be wrong
February 23, 200421 yr CTW Members QUOTE (Tresh @ Feb 23 2004, 12:20) cat food. All pet food you buy in supermarkts, or food shops, is fit for human consumption. The buyers at the supermarket chains have to taste it. Apparently strong pate is the nearest they describe it as. This is in case people mistake it for human food, and eat it by mistake. A childhood (human) friend of mine swore by Pal, said it saved brushing his teeth... The stuff in petshops, dried snouts, and ears, and dried pigs willys and the molded stuff they sell on trays is not fit for human consumption. ee
