I say this as ive had a few mate who seem confused thinking pys trance is just a load of weird noise that can not be danced too

Chris, I cant help but see what the difference between this and a typical hardhouse set is. Apart from a few "strange" noises, those taken from different genres of music and throw in for good measure.

thats probably cos its a bit more 'full on' then typical psytrance - most psy is based around 135-145bpm and pretty different to whats on the mix (largely for the fact it descended from goa trance), but its a vast genres which does take many different inspirations... the fact I have taken a liking to the hardhouse-esque style of it is probably because of existing genres which I am into, and also because if I stuck up a set of 'purist' psytrance I doubt many outside of the psy scene would enjoy it lol

I have to say i have finally got round to listening to this, i have been listening to iton the old mp3 player on the way home from work, i'm 36 mins into it, and i am enjoying it very much.

 

Mixing is awesome chris, very fluid and flows beautifully. So far tune selection is bang on, although i dont listen to this stuff, the tracks blend and compliment each other really well.

 

I am liking the the track with the 'spin me right round' sample in it, thats the one track that stuck out so far.

 

I agree with Lisa, if people want to listen to some psy trance with a bit more 'oomph' then get this downloaded, as it has definitely got some 'oomph' and yes, you could definitely have a right good old dance around to this.
