its only half eight here

here for the week on business. I visit companies and ask them lots of questions about their business to find out whether things are going well or badly and to see if we can make money out of investing in them.

 

It's good fun- unfortunately I woke up at 2am yesterday morning and 5 today so haven't quite cracked the jetlag.

 

Currently debating whether to go to gym/sauna/steam room etc when it opens at six or to write up some of my company notes and get ahead of myself.

 

Tokyo's a really interesting place- it's 24 hour unlike London and there are all manner of amusing places such as hostess bars etc (I'll tell the story about how I got 'done over' for £600 in one once some other time).

Sadly I'm not staying on the LiT hotel (that's the Park Hyatt in a different area of town). I'm in the Grand Hyatt- still a lovely hotel (42" LCD TV/DVD and wet room etc... and a massive bed completely wasted on just me).

 

A lot of that film is very accurate. It's so different to home over here... the folks are very friendly- and cannot take their booze which makes some very interesting evenings out.

 

I usually go out on the lash a lot whilst here but we are having a rough time at work so I'm concentrating on working (for once).

 

Anyone want anything from over here? Manga? Weird horrible sweets? Godzilla?

Damn left my tuxedo at home.
