so so so not happy

my dam pc decided to install everything again resulting in me having to re start from disc cos of lost files

now i got dial up back but it cant re install my broadband stuff cos of program files\bt broadband basic help\ bin\ mad.exe and it is no where i have been in add and remove programs nothing

 

i jus cant find where it is to remove it so i can re install dam bb and i had a call today to say it was a system error and it is switched on now

i had such a shit job wit tryin to reinstall my broadband after the virus and it came up with a message just like yours dani

 

it resulted in me using the recover cd that u get with the pc

when it asks you which drive to write the operating system on, take out any external drives via USB first, then delete them all.

then run the program and it will have wiped everythin completely forever and ur pc will be as new

but the downside will be that you will lose anythin u dont back up and you will have to reinstall everything again

so dont reinstall dial up just do the broadband instead n it should work hunky dory

 

 

thats what i had to do, but dont jump at it straight away have a think about this first...

pc wasnt bought new lol

was from a fair and dont get things like that with it

so that is why im gona take it to my mate the pc doctor

aw sucks!

 

ur frend will have a boot disc that they can use on it and re write the OS on it for ya nay bother, n they'll probably go thru the steps i just mentioned which i learned the hard way haha

yer he will properly sort it though as he is a pc technition
