i've been thinking of joining one, and wanted to know if anyone has used one and what they're like etc etc

No ive never used one & not sure if I would either??

 

 

Not much help I know, but I guess if you do use one & you go on dates make sure you take precautions, such as let friends know where & when etc etc

oh i would if i decided to join one, haven't made my mind up yet though

Give it a go & look into it, nothing to lose I guess. & you never know you may find the man of the your dreams

 

i've been looking on the internet and found one thats free, but not sure if i want to join, had a look around it and theres loadsa cute fellas on here, but makes me wonder why they're single

I haven't tried one either but my advice would be

 

Don't join an internet one .... there you could pretend to be anyone of any decription you wanted ... a reputable one in your home town or city would at least know the people that have joined, and hopefully have done some checks to make sure everything was kosha!

 

Like Lisa says ... if you do make sure you let people know where your going and don't change plans at the last minute!

i have used internet sites but untill weekend jus gone had never met anyone off there. and it seems i wouldnt rule them straight out im on ukpersonals and yer as said be careful we went out for the day too london had shay with me aswell and we planned next week to take his daughters and shay to the zoo, he was fun and great with shay also shay kept calling him stuart lol

 

is it not wise to keep kids out of the equation (sp?) till you know its going to be a lasting relationship? sounds to me like shay is already confused about the males in his life without adding others just yet, especially if its going to be a different one every few months, its certainly something that shouldnt be 'LOL'ed at (maybe im old fashioned)

 

(just my oppinion like)

 

Trudes....havent used one myself but a few of my friends have (2 have even gone on to marriage) & its a great way of meeting like minding people, especially if you want a long term relationship,.........you go for it

but could the prospective guy's decision possible be swayed if you introduced kids at the last minute...? isn't it better for him to know the deal all along

but you can tell the other person that you have kids (i always have done right from day 1) & tell the kids you have a new partner (after a while) without messing with the childs head. kids need stability

 

 

lou i know exactly what ur saying and i have taken that into account already, that is why we are doin days out and not sitting kissing cuddling, we didnt even kiss to be honset sunday we jus took shay out for the day, yes i rushed things with stuart and yes shay is a little confused i do know this but i think its more the name he had started saying names and making sentances when me and stu was together so i just think its cos he can say the name and we correct him, but thats why going to the zoo im bein introduced as mikes friend to his daughters till we know it is what we want and maybe it can work we are just going to be friends where the kids are involved we have few other plans all including the kids and to them it is day out

i agree also with what phil says and yes it is to do with bein better to get to know the kids aswell as each other cos we could get to know each other and really have feelings and then his daughters or shay may take a huge disliking to me/ him and thats cos all of a sudden mummy/ daddy has a new gf/ bf.

the way we are doing it is to us it is a date but its more a day out getting to no each other and see how kids also take it and have equal time to get to know properly families included if that makes sense. shay calls my friend adam stuart aswell and he see's when i meet friends so this isnt much different i guess

 

oh and it hasnt been a different one every few months

since si ive only had 3 relationships and only 2 he met, he didnt meet dyl and he didnt meet a couple of guys i dated but never went anywhere its jus me and stu went into things full on as we had known each other since before me and si split and had already got feelings but we rushed and it ended but shay never saw non of the bad stuff as it pretty much ended over the fone. i think it was more to do with the huge amount of time spent over xmas at stu's. so it isnt a different guy every month ive been single since january there was an almost guy but i saw him once and didnt again he is too young anyhow

 

 

not sure wether i do want to join one, just thought it might be a good way to meet ppl, and as far as my sons concerned, he wouldn't be involved right from the start but as phil said they do need to know and like the person i might end up seeing.
