I've decided that its time to record my very first mix but havent got a clue where to start software wise etc.

To be honest I haven't got a clue what I'm doing. I've worked out how to connect my mixer to my laptop and thats it.

A nice little tutorial would be nice...... lawrence where are you and your nice little pictures when I need you??

Wavelab or soundforge are 2 of the most popular progs for this.

U simply "create new wav" then hit record, start your mix. Once you've finished just hit stop.

You can then use the program to track mark it as apposed to being one wav file.

hi Bungle mate, now i've never recorded a mix onto computer, tho if i want to record a live track off my keyboards or something, i use software called Sound Forge.

I find it really easy to record stright onto my computer using there, and it has alot of features built into it.
