Yes, a cd-playing walkman will play upto 74mins of audio from a single cd. a 60GB iPod can store upto about a months worth of music on it (thats a month of continuous playing, only using each track once) so you never need to change cds etc as you have all the music you want with you

It is basically a hard drive inside a walkman. As previously explained, you can download and store all your music collection onto them. MP3's have been out a while and were all very similar looking so Apple decided to try and make themselves market leaders in the game. As they did with the mac computer, they made it easy to use and seriously funky looking. It's basically the Audi TT of the portable personal audio systems.

You can download tunes from legal or illegal sites and store them onto your ipod for a fraction of the cost of a cd. Probably because there is no manufacturing cost onto the cd and no packaging or logistical expense.

The cd's you do already own can be ripped into your pc hard drive then transferred to your Ipod. It's like having your whole music collection in a 12cm x 6cm x 2cm box.

I really do not think it'll be too long before dj's are plugging them into mixers and using them instead of cd's.

lmao i want one smile.gif

Yeah Rich's Ipod is great but after a year the battery starts to go really quickly.. apparantly it's a wide spread problem - not sure if it has been corrected on newer models though.

Apparantly the batteries are expensive to replace too.

Its the same with any rechargable battery though, they only have a limited amount of recharges before capacity falls (according to apple, when 'depleted' the battery capacity will be 40% of what it is initially) - since you cant change the batterys, you must get in touch with Apple to return iPod and be sent a new one

an mp3 player does the same job as when u copy ur CD onto the computer.

only difference is it saves it on a portable device that you can take away and listen to the music thru headphones.

an iPod is a particular make of portable MP3 player, and seem to be the better ones, but you do pay £50+ for the Apple Macintosh and iPod label which sucks but they are still good.

we got 840 songs on this mini iPod with 4GB and still got space left. if u pressed play and left it, it would play for 2.3 days it says smile.gif cool grin.gifthumbsup.gif

and 56k is shit music........ keep wit the 128 and just get bigger headphones... i like to use my DJ ones as they got tiny bass woofers hehe its quality!
