There is a massive divide between the north and south.

 

Virtually everyone I know goes out to house/funky/electro nights and up north it is all trance and hard house....... why is that?

I dont think thats entirely true though as some of the biggest hard house clubs are in london and you have clubs like sankeys and basics that are massive up north.

 

I think its more the people you associate with rather than a north south divide.

probly yeah, theres good and bad music everywhere

 

It's alot harder and expensive to get down south for their events, which is why alot of the more northern people don't go much if at all, and if they do there not going to try a night they haven't been to before or venture into the unknown music wise.

 

Alot I know are coming down this weekend for HHH because they know it's going to be a night they'll love!

 

I do think there's a more serious attitude to clubbing down south though!

us northerners are rockin. but when i lived in london i had my clubs i visited weekly, trade, dtpm, the orange and medikation and when i came back up north i felt lost and had to find clubs that i would enjoy. overall i think there isnt a divide.

I agree it might be my social circle but if you look at all the big clubs in london about 75% play funky or a variant of funky.

 

Se1 do play hard, turnmills does play trance but overall it is generally funky. Slinky is massive in bmth but what about every other club......

 

Hard house and trance apears to be mostly what goes on up there....... I'm not knocking it i just find it wierd how different the music is when we are so close.

My opinon is that there is no such thing as bad music. Just a difference in taste. If I said classical was shit I'd be wrong, I just don't like it myself but it doesn't mean it is bad. I would rather stick needles in my eyes than go to a hard house event but it doesn't mean it is bad......

 

so before you think i'm knocking anyone or anything I'm not, I'm just interested.

 

Most of you will hate that cd. If you love the style but then hate the cd your opinon is valid. If you hate all of it you can't really tell if it is good or bad.
