pay as you go road tax sounds total pants

hasnt this been going on for a few years? they bring it up on the news every now & then.....like the ID cards

not sure of a link but it was on the news & ITV website (now gone)

doubt they would put it into full force it may be summat cos of taxi drivers and stuff but doubt would make every one pay as the drive think there may be a full year tax for those who drive regular and ppl who drive once in a while or in others vehicles or taxi drivers lorry drivers who drive other vehicles pay and go as they are driving

 

but thats jus me and my imagination

they say they will cull tax off fuel (realy?)

i think its a ludicrus idea

at the end it says about how stopping at a toll booth makes congestion itself, why cant they change that to what london has.

checkpoints on the road in certain places that charge instead of stopping at a toll booth.

Dunno think i'd be for it!

 

Why should I pay the same for doing 10,000 mile a year as someone who drives 25,000 a year!

 

Ok they pay supposedly in fuel form but there big companies that claim it back tax wise at the end of the year!

 

The toll booths have never been congested when i've gone on the M6 and they do have a system like the one in London in place already if you use it enough!

you can sort of get that already

you can get a restrickted milage insurance off almost all of them
