has anyone ever got the megabus?

 

what's it like? are the seats ok? does it have toilets?

 

thinking of getting one down to london, help!

it's a stupidly cheap bus like national express but e.g. only £5 sheffield to london

 

i'm just thinking there's got to be a catch

The catch will be the amount of stops that it makes on the journey. Anything Quick is usually expensive, and cheap takes longer.

Very cheap long haul flights usually stop 3 or 4 times through the journey, so i would think the Megabus will be a similar kind of thing. But without the wings, turbine engines, and the chap driving won't be called a pilot!

nevermind just got £12 return sheff-london on the safe old national express!

It's apparantly pretty decent, my mate uses them regularly to get around the country clubbing. Might be worth a try next time, save yourself some cash.

i can't wait either! got my outfit sorted now (being brave and wearing a skirt, eek!) so now i can get really excited!

I've used megabus to get from Bristol to London and it was fine. Just as comfy as national express and if theres not many people travelling, you can put your feet up on the chair opposite and sleep comfortably as the seats face each other

 

It takes an extra half hour to get there but thats just because they're really old buses. For the price you pay, its great.

the bus from sheffield to london isnt tooo bad.

Altho it does take u to a service station where u have to get off, then get onto the newcastle bus. Which is horrible because its already packed.

 

Apart from that its fine, toilets, enough leg room (just) and about a 4 hour journey.
