Between my mum, dad and brother they do...

 

Tarot cards,

Rune stones,

Astrological charts and readings,

Numerology,

I-ching

Palmisrty and other similar crappy "prediction" techniques.

 

I've never believed in any of that guff and I've had loads of it done on me.

 

According to my astrology chart I'd get married once, have 2 kids (boy and girl) and be happy together for years. My tarot cards said I'd have a long and happy marriage and have 3 kids and my palm reading said I'd have 2 kids but have a MAJOR tradgedy half way through my life (broken life line apparently)??

 

In reality...I got married at 18, became a father at 19, separated at 21, divorced at 22.

 

So much for the mystical ways of the witches

My family (mum, dad and big brother) have been doing tarot cards for years, they are pagan and they all believe in that mumbo jumbo. They have several packs of tarot cards between them and they do regular readings for people.

 

NOW MY POINT.

 

In the last year, I have met 4 people with sets of tarot cards, still in the box they came in. Each time I went to have a look at them they have told me that I cant touch them coz it will mess them up, put bad feelings in them or generally be not good. I feel that I must point out that this is complete BOLLOX.

 

When doing a tarot reading for someone, the person that is getting the reading should shuffle the cards and then cut them 3 times, that way it is their "emotions / energy" or whatever going into the cards. THEN the person DOING the reading deals them out in the order they were cut, in what ever pattern or style they are accustommed with.

 

Dont have a clue why I posted this, there was a point to start with but I kind of lost it half way through.

 

It might have been to ask your opinions of tarot cards...seriously cant remember.

I used to have them done when i was at school by my mums mate they were rather vague if you ask me and although usually right they tended to be things that were more than likely gonna happen anyway

I've had my tarot cards read about 4 times.

 

One said I was gonna marry once and have 2 sons and spend my life with my wife.

Another said I'd never marry but have a son

Yet another said I was gonna marry, have a son and live abroad with my wife and our son.

Another said I'd get married, have a daughter and then divorce after 6-10 years.

 

None of those are correct.

I always find the ones that make money from it are full of SHIT and are make believe. I seen one a few yesr ago. A few years older then me, and she was bang on with the few things she told me, which happened within the 3 years ahead of when she told me. And she was a friend I used to work with. Some really ARE genuine my dear Ginge, but some are complete shit bickerers.

Make that THE MAJORITY.

The only one that proper sticks out was that she saw a baby then about 4 weeks later one of my mates found out she was pregnant

 

i dont really believe in tarot but i wldnt mind having em done again just in case
