has anyone actually had a house rabbit before?

im just reading up on them and you can actually let them have free run of your home as they actually use a cat litter tray and mine seems to do that

 

also the amount of fresh fruit and vegetables is bloody confusing for there healthy diets i need to find where to get most the vegetables it needs

it seems to use its tray in the cage so give it a go, but leave the tray (messy & with its own smell) by the cage

no u need to fina a corner cos rabbits use 1 particular corner and stick with it

 

so cant jus put it by cage as thats right where everyone has to walk

dont know about that cos the only book I have is on house ferrets & it only says about a 'smelly' tray so it can be found by them

well this isnt a ferret

so that means you cant get a lead & take it for walks just thaught the toilet bit fits most animals

actually u cant as they wont go in a certain spot they wont go where they have been before

this book says you can , its all about 'senting'

a book on ferrets says u can for a dog

 

why do u think u have to take dogs for walks when they need toilet

they never go in same spot else ppl who have them woulkd have 1 pile in there garden not all over it

house trained ferrets are like dogs but people dont see them that way

pete they are to a certain extent

my dad used to keep them

they bite and they run off u can never let them off a lead

 

but it dont mean a dog is like a ferret in a way it will go in a litter box

to stop ferrets biting you can get them what vets call 'altered'

i jus read up on a site they are actually not good to get with small children and are named ferrets cos it means little theives
