i'm going for a contact lense trial on saturday and i'm REALLY SCARED eek.gif

i'm a bit squeamish about eyes anyway, but the optician told me last week that i need to wear glasses all the time and i'm far too vain for that, so i'm gonna be brave and give it a go

does anyone wear them? any advice? what type is best? and can they get stuck in your eye?

more worrried that i'll get them in, but i won't be able to get them out again. HELP!!

Easy as brushing your teeth morning and night thumbsup.gif

I've got monthly disposables that you take out each night had no problems with them at all other than dropping a few.

Although the most memorable *fook* up was the other weekend ... drove to Brum to watch the Welsh one after Magna ... drove in my glasses ... before going into the club me and the TarT sat in the car park while I put my contacts in but I just couldn't get the left one to stay put!! gave up after about 10 attempts but when I put my glasses back on I couldn't see!!

took them off and I could!! uhm.gif

Turns out I'd put a new pair of lenses in my eyes the night before but forgot to throw the old ones away that were in the case, when I took the new one's out of my eyes i'd put them on top of the old ones ... so what i'd done was put 2 lenses in the one eye so when I took one out it left one in!! Perfect vision

Was tres funny at the time ... I thought a miracle had happened silly.gif

Laser eye treatment. Does cost a lot but I know someone that had it and they are glad they did.

i can't have it yet, you're eye prescription has to have settled down and been the same for three years before you can have it

plus the fact that the long term effects of known yet and it looks really scary

but that's prob what i'll end up doing eventually

ginge ask your mate if it hurt?

I need to get contacts, I keep forgetting to put my glasses on then my eyes end up stinging.

My teenage daughter has been kidnapped, and the people I work with may be involved in both.

I'm Federal Agent Jack Bauer and this is the longest day of my life...

Why not glue your glasses to your head then, then you'd never lose them.

I'd recommend the daily disposables. No solutions or containers to worry about. You just take 'em out at the end of the day and bin 'em.

If you know your prescription you can order them online too and they'll be a lot cheaper than getting them prom the opticians

Yes, they can, but very rarely and I find that normally happens if I sleep with them in. When that happens you just have to leave it for a bit and try again in a few minutes and it'll come out straight away
