Bruce and Jenny are both 12 years old, but they know they’re in love. One day they decide they want to get married, so Bruce goes to Jenny’s father to ask him for her hand in marriage.

 

Bruce bravely walks up to him and says, “I want to ask for your daughter’s hand in marriage.”

 

Thinking this was the cutest thing ever, Mr Smith decides to go along with it and asks, “Where will you two live?”

 

Without even blinking, Bruce replies, “In Jenny’s room, it’s bigger than mine.”

 

Still thinking this is amusing in a cute kind of way, Mr Smith grins and says “OK then, how will you live? You’re not old enough to get a job. You’ll need to support Jenny.”

 

Quick as a flash, Bruce replies, “Our pocket money, Jenny makes £5 a week and I make £10. That’s about 60 quid a month and that should do us just fine.”

 

By now Mr Smith is shocked that Bruce has put so much thought into this. He takes a moment to come up with something Bruce can’t answer.

“Well Bruce, it seems like you’ve got everything worked out. I just have one more question. What’ll you do if the two of you should have little one’s of your own?”

 

Bruce just shrugs and says, “Well, we’ve been lucky so far…..”
