Had two wisdom teeth removed today under local anesthetic. Wasn't any pain at the time but it hurts like hell now.

I had an awkward tooth taken out at the hospital under general anasthetic, it was sort of growing horizontally instead of vertically and crushing my other teeth.

Eeek, must be painfull Jim. blink.gif

Don't need mine out just yet. 2 of mine came through and I wasn't even aware of it ! Guess I was lucky not to feel them. ninja.gif

mine coming through slightly at an angle on both sides and only pain is when they swell i keep catching them when eating and talking but found regular doses of ibuprofen keeps the swelling down...

That's exactly how mine were. It wasn't really causing me too many problems except, when i went clubbing and when i had my bike helmet on. This used to cause big ulsers (sp) on my gums.

Well, it's a few days on now and the pain has gone. It feels like the pressure has been released in my mouth and i've got more space for the rest of my teeth!!!!!!!

Dani and everyone else who may have to have their teeth out - I think wisdom teeth get quite alot of bad press when it comes to removal but trst me, i only had 4 injections for 2 teeth out and i really couldn't feel a thing while they were being removed. As the rots of the teeth were slightly bent the dentist really had to use some hefty pliers to get them out but as i say, no pain at all.

This isn't anything to worry about and i wish i'd had them done sooner.

I've got to have the other 2 out aswell but that's going to be a hospital job!!!

its the needles that makes me paranoid

if i can give birth 3 times im sure i can put up with pain but the fact of the needles and then knowing and seeing what they doing is what scares me its psycological
