I think this might actually be a good idea but it can make a topic look confusing at times.

 

Please reply with your thoughts on deleting your own posts.

Most topics aren't active from one day to the next though.

 

Deleting some recalcitrant posts might also reduce the amount of space the board takes up.

 

Plus you could take back a statement.

 

And since when has the threads making any sense been an issue around here? (that last one wasn't made to sound sarcastic)

only problem is - its nice to prove who said what & when in the case of an argument - then again we aren't gonna have any more arguments now - are we!?

 

I vote to allow deletes - information becomes out of date and we can all 'moderate' our own posts properly and ALL help to keep the posts clean from garbage - especially in the event type stuff where we've changed plans etc....

ok - gonna allow everyone to delete their own posts - if there is a huge problem we can switch it off again but I really cant see it.

i think it's a moot point as we're already allowed to edit our own posts. if that's the only argument against allowing deletion, i think it's a no-brainer...
