i dont know if its possible with copyrights and all that but i reckon background music on this site would be pretty awesome, as my stereo's in the other room and i've just about bolloxed my speakers trying to get it loud enough where my pc is on the other side of my house!!!

I have to agree with you here, even if you are my (big) brother! Its something i mentioned to James a while ago that we have MP3s on the site or some background music playing when the reviews link is activated. Im sure its something we can think about as soon as we have everything on the new server.

I have a few tunes on my website that can be listened to, have to get more webspace and put more up too but is on the music and djing page of it click on the house above and have a look if u like?!

That will take up a fair bit of storage, and streaming capabilities might be a problem.

 

It would depend on the ability's of the new server I guess.

 

Cracking idea though. We could upload guess mixes (ie ClaireDc, Tony P, Fred et al), and have those playing. It could double as a show case for the CTW DJ's.

yes, we can certainly have background 'loops' at some point - like Tidy do. All in the pipeline and on the ever-increasing list of improvements!

I agree with Sophie, you are sat there, merrily surfing away, and suddenly some low-quality mp3 bursts in, and you have to hunt to shut it off. Hosting stuff is a great idea, but forcing people to listen to it, always turns me off a site (even if the site has the option to turn it off, you have to put up with it playing whilst you load the site)

I think its a good idea, not many other sites (especially club forum sites) have the feature and it would def. show professionalism.

If you don't like what you hear, you can always switch off speakers \ mute volume etc.

 

I like the CyberDog.net opening sequence with the bouncy hard 'cyber' house - nice way to be greeted !
