I reckon they should only be allowed to view posts in the "General Chitchat" section.

I definitely don't think they should have access to the FAO forum.

Just my opinion. Its difficult to explain.

Well part of it comes down to me being online early this morning and was checking who was online by that "last click" thing and there was a guest looking at my FAO. I was just wondering what is the point of having FAO's when other people look in them?

I know where you are coming from Ginge, alot of the other sites I go on, do this you can see the main forum page, but access all forums until you join up, it has its good & bad points IMO, its good to let peeps see, so they can get an idea of what the site is about & the peeps on it, but by not allowing access could poss encourage more peeps to join, which is ok, but then, by doing that the run risk of inviting poss fools on or losing potential valuable members who think oh sod it dunno what its about so shant bother!!

if it was something personal and something you dont want anons to see i spose its best doing things via PM

 

im nosey, i read most FAOs (except ones by some members....as there not usually interesting, and really quite pointless)

because it quickly get lost on the main page as there are a lot more posts made in general discussion forum.
