Does anyone know of any good venues in London which are avaliable to hire, i'm thinking of starting my own promotion. Not too big mind you (prob about 200-300 capacity)

try the dogstar in Brixton, went to a night there few months back just like your would be, start up night from local promoters friends of my sister, seemed a good place to start. Not dodgy at all, just down road from fridge etc...

See what you think, see if they have website or whatver

Cheers Robin, i know the venue well as i've played at the dog star b4, but i'm looking for something a bit more underground, if you know what i mean, a venue that stays open till 6 ish.

But thanks though, I'll keep the dog star in mind as i think it will be hard to find a venue with the requirements i'm after. Most London club owners wont let you promote at their venue unless you have previous experience. which don't help at all, i mean how are you surposed to get started?

Contact one of our DJ's, Raymondo. He 'might' be interested in running a promotion with you and he certainly has the knowledge.

I also think we should push CTW to start up their own night, they have all the ingredients, now all they have to do is bake the cake!
