IMO ya both got it wrong, 'Cyber' short for Cybernetics and "Cyber" short for brightly coloured furry gurner now mean totally different things..

"Cyber" as in the cyberdog type generation, dressing up for clubbing that type.. its a label now more than just shortening a word... just what I think. [Happy]

I've done cyber a few times... usually save it for the special occasions/ big events... but I've been a trendy since I started clubbin all those years ago and think I'll always be... [Wink]

Nah, it is just that I know "cybers" who do the full body armour and fake enhancements, and I know "cybers" who do fluffy boots and a dummy. Completely different and yet with the same label, just find it weird

I am having a running arguement with a goth cos when I go to a gothic/industrial club I like to wear jeans, so he says I am mundane. Yet he hangs out with a load of people all dressed the same as him, which is the more mundane?

Not that I am having a go at people who go really cyber, in either sense of the word, it is cool if that is what you enjoy, I just have more "conservative" taste in clothes. Altho actually it is just a case of not having found the right style of clubbing clothes for me, I like the look of cyberdog stuff, but find it a bit too OTT for my tastes [Confused]

never done cyber. I feel it should be reserved for those of a younger age with a slightly more flattering hair line and waist line than my good, old, balding, podgy self!

Besides, as soon as i wear plastic, I start gettting funny feelings...... [Wink]

How old are you Pablo? I am 30 and have no problems getting a bit more cybered up, and I have seen plenty of "large" people cybered. Plenty of folically challenged people too. If you wanna do it, just do it, and feck every one else

am 28 matey. Never really gone for the cyber gear. But youre right, should do what you want I guess.

Other probs with cyber is that is it synthetic material. I even think about it and the flood gates of my sweat gland open! WOuld have to wear next to nowt, and the idea of me being a semi-naked gimp is a bit extreme. Kinky, but extreme!

Individuality rocks, just remember to find it in yourself, not in someone else.

Feck, what did I take over the weekend, that was almost profound [Wink]

I used to but at the age of 26, I now feel a bit stupid, plus nobody does it in the clubs in Glasgow any more, and those who do just get laughed at- not by me, but by those, who this time 2-3 years ago were running around with spikey hair, inflatable waistcoats and glowsticks! which is wrong in my opinion cos I still like to see peeps getting dressed up to go out, but there's a snobby attitude in alot of the clubs up here now. [Confused]

Man, second perso I've spoken to in 10 mins who reckon that at 25 you're too old. If you wanna dress cyber, it don't matter how old you are. Personally I reckon 28-35 is the best clubing age, you are still young enough to enjoy it, but old enough to be sensible (not too many "morning afters!!"

[Well Happy]

I know what you mean about club snobs, you get 'em everywhere in all club types [Confused]
