When did R & B stop being Rhythm and Blues?

 

I like R&B, Muddy Waters, BB King, Buddy Guy, some Gary Moore, and even some Slow-Hand Clapton. But now R&B is just soft rap/garage. Basically, MTV used to have a Black chart, but then they decided that it was racist, so they renamed it the R&B chart. PAH
