with the forum layout? it's changing by the minute.

 

bring back FAO. it's easy to search for the forum using the 3 capital letters.

 

if you use the entire words that forum just blends into the rest of the list.

general chit chat should be near the top like on any other site.

 

u only care about the site, and events once you get into it that should be down the bottom like it was before

i dont like it this way

most sites actually have the layout like it is now - with the site-specific stuff at the top and the general stuff lower down.

I prefer it this way. Once there's a lot more content on here that people can read about future/ past events, more reviews and interviews etc, it will be a much better site. I've always believed that the site shouldn't run around the forum as it has been doing for so long now - the forum should be an addition to a decent, well structured, informative site, not the only calling point of it.

^ yes, this is basically the new thinking we want to adobt. well put Nick.

 

expect to see far more informative sections (outside of the forums) over the next few months.

I prefer the board now, looks better & more proffessional. I think it's because it is set out different, guys just need to get used to it

we don't exactly ahve that much content there do we? also most of the people who come on ehre do so to use the sections whihc used to be at the top.

well if that's the case then why try to muddle up the chat forums with content tha should be on the main site anyways? sorry if it seems like i'm moaning but it seems illogical the layout as it is when every other forum i've been on it's been set out how the board used to be set out and just trying to make some suggestions

i can see the reasons why its been changed as its now less focused on the chat forum and more about 'the idea of clubtheworld'

 

personally i think its good to see some different content on the board, interviews etc

IMO th emost important is where it belongs, at the top.

 

If you think about it, the concept of ClubTheWorld is how it is now laid out (sinse being tweaked).

as a compromise we could shift the 'General' forums just under the 'ClubTheWorld' forums - i.e. just before the events forums

 

Personally I think the clubtheworld specific stuff being at the top gives off a better impression and is in fact 'standard' from what i can tell from the majority of message boards out there...

 

..but I also think that perhaps some of the most used forum should be moved further up so avoid so much scrolling.

 

its a tough one - but it defo wasnt right before imo

but the idea behind the 'msg board' part of the website isn't to be 'professional' is it..? the msg board is for 'fun'. and like people say, everything that's there now with the new 'professional' layout, was already there with the 'fun' layout.
