I am still always wary if i introduce her to a bf but have my eye on her and will NEVER let her get too involved in things, ie have his number or be able to contact him unless thru me if i can help it...once bitten and all that!!

Damn it Fred, what did that comment mean?

i was dumped on new years eve 1998 - after 5 years with her, 3.5 of which living together. we moved from boston to san francisco together. we're still friends now.

 

at the time, i thought my life had ended. the 4 years since have been incredible and, if the dumping had not happened there are so many things that would be different (potentially worse) for me right now. also, i would not have met my last girlfriend (absolutely nightmare but many lessons learned) or my current girlfriend (who is incredible in so many ways)

 

getting dumped sucks for sure but, in time, you might see that it was the right thing...

The last one made me realise there's more to life than work and trying to find a women.

Over her now didn't half hurt

but sometimes I still wonder.
