perhaps you could have almost smaller sites connected to yours if that makes sence?? i dont know if you can do that and what technical isseues are behind it, but if you could have smaller sites, coming off yours it might [censored]??!

but i personally think most of the site is bassed on house music!... have you thought about doing a smaller site for say garage, hip hop, RnB?? or chart pop music, techno, or any other type of genre????? cos there are alot of people out there who probably look at your site, but see that its all house so dont join!??!

 

personally i am in to all types of music! and im not ashamed to say it, but i do like my hip hop and rnb and garage occassionally!??!??

 

i dont mind helping out?? i think it would be a really good idea!??! only thing is i you would perhaps have to start from scratch.. what i mean is by me going out and talking to people in garage clubs etc.. and getting pics like you orriginally did for clubtheworld!???!

The nights need to be promoted as much as Ray promotes House nights and Sarah promotes Hard House etc, saying a few posts thats going on are not going to be noticed, OTHER NIGHTS NEED TO BE MADE MORE CLEAR OR THEY WILL BE NOT NOTICED!

Guess we're really looking for volunteers to come forward like Sarah and Ray have so far to cover other genres - otherwise they simply wont get covered as we just dont know enough about them ourselves.

Yes - please do come forward - we need more people!

Totally agree with Nick G's comments about Drum'n'Bass. It used to be my favourite genre but I just got fed-up going out listening to the same 2-step beat all night

 

I have to say i'm not fan of Hard House and much prefer trance or funky house but it makes sense to arrange nights around what the majority want - Nights like the gatecrasher one are ideal because there is more than one genre of music and I think this reflects on how many people are attending the event.

 

Anyway that's my 2 cents ...

 

 

TBH, I don't mind HH but I'm much more a trance fan with a smatter of funky house for variation....

 

The last board i was on was largely a HH board and towads then end it was getting a bit bitchy, the HH types slaggin off trance etc. This board is much much better but more variation woulddn't go amiss..

 

I'm not sure about adding more forums tho. would enough people use each one?

Maybe a forum entitled "Fancy a change" where people who are going to a "different" night, or looking for a "different" night can post. Would probably start of small, like someone posting "I fancy a D'n'B night", to which someone could say "I know this on sat night, shall we go?" so at first you get individuals arranging meet ups, but then if a few people want to go to a night, it can be "promoted" into the main events forum.

 

Personally, I have noticed a few people about with some leaning towards rock/industrial, and I am always game for that.

I've organised a site merger with www.ukgarage.com.

I have already mentioned this to sarah, it is cureently taking less than a day for non pinned posts to disappear from page one of event suggestions.

 

Unless we have sepearte genre forums, people will not be able to see comment or discuss possible events, cos they will dissappear too fast.
