Me and Jp have just finished our first cd, we want to share it with everone who wants to listen.

It is a pure Hardhouse cd and although we would like to give them away for free we simply cannot afford it but would sell them for £2 just to cover our costs.

 

Would anyone be interested???

why £2 when the price of a CD is like 30p and P&P is a first class stamp which would out at 56p

 

understand about trying to cover ya costs, but if ya gonna do it then look into buying in bulk if the numbers are there.

 

but hh is always good. that's a point, does any of the DJs on here that do there CD's put out the tracks used? Maybe you should do a track listing on the site for each CD. i mean that would be quite useful wouldn't it?

It would be £2 to cover our costs, as we dont own a computer we have to pay someone else to do it and to burn our details onto the cd so i was testing reaction to see if £2 would be fair to people???

I gave away a load of my mix CDs for free. But if you genuinely just want to cover your costs, this is how much it cost me per CD...

 

Money

12p jiffy bag

41p postage stamp

~50p if you bother with a sticker for the CD (I didn't have any at the time!)

 

Time

~20mins to burn the CD at x4 speed (during which time you can go away and do something else!!)

5mins to fold / cut / insert the CD sleeves

1min to quickly check that the CD has burned okay

2mins to put the CD in a jiffy bag and write an address on it

 

Total: about 10mins [censored] and £1 - £1.50 expenses. Even less if you bring the CDs to a CTW meet-up and save on postage!

We pay someone £1.oo to burn them on cd and to laser our names on there, then you have cover costs, paper costs package and postage, so £2 in my eyes would deem fair!!??

I know what you mean about cost mate, i just sent out over 70 copies of my latest CD and it burns a massive whole in your pocket.

But i surpose i really do it to see what reaction i get from them.

Ideally it would be great to upload them onto the site.

Tony, i know. We have just sent out 50 to promoters and had a very good reaction and bookings have come from the cd and i wish i could send everyone a cd for free but i dont have the money to, obviously if i get a lotto win then that would be different.

ffs ppl - stop quibbling over costs

 

£2 imo is a bargin considering the quality of their mixing and the tunes ur getting

 

they can charge what they like and if u dont like the price then go mix ur own cd
