December 19, 200222 yr CTW Members you could wipe a CD with a magnet - if you hit the CD with the magnet hard enough seriously, a brief search on the internet found me this: http://www.howstuffworks.com/cd.htm send it to your friend. alasdair "I've got medication, honey. December 19, 200222 yr CTW Producers really? i didn't think that was possible, mind you, if you have to whack a CD with the magnet, most likely scratch it and leave it useless anyways hehe http://bos.abavagada.net/oddfiles/djelementalonline.jpg

December 20, 200222 yr CTW DJs "i'm not scientist (i cant even spell it 4 gods sake)" Ironically, Happy Dude, for once you actually spelt a word correctly!! To reiterate what everyone else has basically said, you can't hurt a CD without scratching or dirtying it. Just like vinyl, the data actually consists of physical grooves in the disc. Only the grooves are much tinier, and encoded digitally, instead of as a continuous analogue signal! (to simplify somewhat) That's why you need a laser. It can tell when there's a hole and when there's not, without making physical contact. If I'm talking out of my posterior, someone please correct me
December 21, 200222 yr Author CTW DJs ur not- and that was the point i was trying top make 2 me m8s, but when they told me they thought a cd wasn't made of plastic i gave up and went home Ironically, Happy Dude, for once you actually spelt a word correctly!! bloody typical that Mr Happy's fishy fish MangaFish munch munchMSN & e-mail - mangafish@mangafish.netAOL - MangaMorganOnline mixes - http://www.mangafish.net/mixes/
