who ever said you dont need your music loud is talking complete and utter bullshit!!!

 

the moment i moved out of my parents house and into my current place i've struggled to beat match let alone ne thing else that goes with being a DJ. the reason being i have to keep the music so stupidly quiet (talking volume!!!) that i just cant get a feel for the music like i used to. i have no idea what record will sound good with others. i just lost all instinct i used to have.

 

cant wait to get out of this shit hole

Can't you compromise with them and agree to a tim eyou can actually have them loud enough for you to learn to mix ?

i thought i had, then they rang up the letting agents logging a complaint w/o even asking me to turn it down 1st.

Lucky me, i moved and my neighbours are great...well they havent complained yet, not so long ago we did a party the decks were on til 5 am....yippppppppppeeeeeeeee

Do what i do have it load enough so you can not hear the neighbours complain.

That happened to me once :$

 

Was playing on my decks for a good 3 hours, went downstairs to go outside to see if my mate had arrived in the car (we were going out), and I found a letter posted through the door from my neighbour.

 

Asking me to turn it down if I wouldn't mind as my neighbour has a ear ache and requires no thumbing beats coming through the wall.

 

Fair play though, she was more apologetic for having to ask me to turn the music down 'if I don't mind'.
