I took my decks AUX leeds out of the back of my hifi earlier and put the AUX leads from my pc back into the hi-fi. Now i just went to play an mp3 and i cant get no sound :s

 

Have checked the leads are pluged in securley from the base unit of the pc going into my hi-fi and all seems fine. And yes, the hifi is on and the volume is up!

 

Any suggestions?

In all seriousness, are you sure it is plugged into Aux, and your selector is set to Aux (some amps have Aux in and Phono in). Is the lead plugged into your soundcard headphone socket (not mic or line-in), and are all the sound sturned up on your PC?

 

(Not meant to be patronising, just all the classsic mistakes that people make)

Yup all leads are in the right places!

 

When i take the pc AUX leads out to put my deck leads in the leads from my pc are sitting on the desk so i it would be impossible to reinsert them into the wrong connections !

 

Those are the only leads that have been taken out. I aint touched anything from the back of the pc and selector is set at AUX.

all u've done is removed 1 set of cabels from ur hifi and put a 2nd set in the exact same socket?!?

Try putting your pc output into your mixer (line) then just run your output from your mixer to the hi fi.

What are you on about?

 

All i did was remove 2 leads...like i do everytime i go on my decks and then put them back in and get sound successfully. I don;t need to reajust any other wires.
