Um, the answer to ya question was yes, I wouldnt....not yes I would, and apart from 1 entrant, I never saw *ANY* of the finalists asking for votes on message boards, nor did I hear of anyone e-mailing people they didnt know asking for votes either! If ya gonna do it, at least keep it quiet rather then asking every person on the net!!

This is bullshit, Mark plays for us at DROP ZONE every other month, & i can vouch that his mixing is very crisp & spot on every time (otherwise he wouldnt be a resident!!). & i can vouch that the demo sent in for the Gurn.net comp is mixed live as i personaly watched him do it in the studio in my cellar, & that the effect on the demo are also done live care of the very popular DJM600 pioneer mixer!!! Its not exactly hard is it!!! He's sent mix in mixin mp3`s??!?!? get a grip!! It would be interesting for Admin to cross reference some of the IP addresses for posters that are posting these messages!! i think they might find a bit of a pattern goin on!!

Mp3s to do a mix demo cd, yeah right is this even possible. Im resident at dropzone after 1 set there. Gaz, Charlotte Birches hubby calls me the demo king cus I make that many of them. If any one knows me then they know what I am capable of. Most of my bookings come from when people see me playing live and not from my demo cd. Don't know if I should take it as a compliment if someone says my demo is done a pc but isn't the whole idea to get the mix smooth and seamless???? Some people are unbelievable. You mr [censored] hostile wanna f**k of I know who you are. No bookings for you mate!!

I was also in the comp but had been only mixing for a year at the time and come 3rd in my group. Wish I could enter now! Shaft DJ comp is coming soon, looking at june/july details will soon be on the shaft website!
